Speaker Howard Nichols
Yes it really is on a Wednesday as the speaker isn’t available on our usual Monday.
Howard Nichols is a world renowned speaker and has traveled extensively throughout his life both overland and by sea. He has had a varied career as a Paramedic Instructor, a Mobile Training Unit Instructor with the RNLI lifeboats and has been an Occupational Skills Trainer.
His talk is about ‘The Mysterious Life of Walter Henry‘ the story of a man of the sea from 1874 to 1961. His life on the early Liners and his eyewitness story of the sinking of the Titanic and its aftermath.
It will also cover World War I and the liners between the wars.
This sounds like being another fascinating afternoon.
A link to the Zoom meeting will be sent to members nearer the date.
