Kingston Lacy, nr Wimborne, Dorset
Kingston Lacy, near Wimborne, was the home of the Bankes family, one of the most powerful families of Dorset. It has one of the finest private collection of paintings in Britain with works by many famous artists; and one of the largest collection of genuine Egyptian relics in the UK.
The magnificent gardens include a Japanese garden and a restored Victoria Kitchen garden. There is a Café at the property which offers a wide range of refreshments as well as a well-stocked shop.
