Speaker Dr Steve Etches, MBE
Steve Etches started collecting fossils from the Kimmeridge Clay over 35 years ago. He is self-taught and what started as a hobby has now resulted in him having 2,400 fossils in his collection. He has a museum in Kimmeridge Village ‘The Etches Collection Museum of Jurassic Marine Life’.
His specimens are scientifically important and stunningly beautiful and show the evidence of their place in Earth’s history. He has received numerous awards in recognition of his dedication to the world of Palaeontology.
