It is one and a half miles long and three quarters of a mile wide and contains 500 acres of woodland, heathland and salt marsh. On landing she gave us details of the facilities available and we set off to enjoy the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped (and saw red squirrels) while others fortified themselves in the caf\u00e9 before a more gentle investigation of the surroundings followed by a very informative tour of the island on the Squirrel
