+====== A visit to the Palace - the Bishop's Palace in Wells ======
 +
+The weather may have been a bit 'iffy' but that didn't dampen the enthusiasm of members as they visited Wells Cathedral and the Bishop's Palace & Gardens in September.
 +
+The Cathedral has been described as 'the most poetic of the English Cathedrals' and is famous for its stained glass and its clock; the Palace has been home and office for the Bishop of Bath and Wells for over 800 years. Members enjoyed a conducted tour around the Palace and were also pleased to find some interesting examples of 'wildlife' in the grounds.
